As a seasoned fact-checker, research editor and journalist, I founded the School of Hard Facts: Teaching Kids to Read the News Like Fact-checkers to help students stop the spread and damaging outcomes of misinformation. In the process of teaching young learners how to rigorously question and examine all forms of media, the SHF's educational intervention improves their critical thinking, close reading, and math analytic skills. Currently,  I'm offering our program to schools, libraries, tutoring centers and after-school programs for spring 2022.
